CALIFORNIA WORKERS' COMPENSATION SYSTEM AND THEIR JOB SATISFACTION IN CALIFORNIA CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

This research will focus on the worker compensation system in California. The researcher will study whether the construction workers in California are satisfied with the current compensation system. The compensation system is very important for construction workers and hence researcher will study the level of job satisfaction among construction workers in California. For this researcher, the researcher will study the following research questions in this paper

What is the current compensation system of construction workers in California?

Are the Californian construction workers satisfied with the current compensation system?

What are the recommendations to improve the job satisfaction level of construction workers?

The researcher will use the mixed research method to study the research questions. The procedure in which the quantitative and qualitative methods are collectively applied for the purpose of data collection is known as 'mixed research'. In the kinds of research 'mixed research' is third most important. As the results from the mixed research technique are more descriptive in nature, therefore, they are more reliable. The mixed research methodology followers generally stick to the philosophy of the compatibility research and pragmatism.

Compatibility thesis concept is that both the techniques of qualitative and quantitative methods are companionable to each other and their blend can be applied in a research in order to analyze the data gathered. On the contrary, philosophy of pragmatism explains that methods used in the analysis of the data should give out results that are practical and proper; also the application of the suggested approach to the real world should be possible.

ILLEGAL WORKERS AND HEALTH CARE FACILITIES IN CALIFORNIA CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

The construction workers are prone to accidents. These accidents can be deadly as well. The researcher aims to study the health care facilities for illegal construction works in California. Most of the construction workers in California are illegal workers and they have little or no access to health care facilities. Through this research, the researcher will cover the following research questions

What are the available health care facilities for the illegal construction workers?

What is the role of government in providing health care facilities to illegal workers?

How can the illegal construction workers gain access to health care facilities?

To study the research questions, the researcher will use secondary method. Secondary research has been used as research technique for this research. The internet publications, studies on similar subjects and article have all been considered for this research. This research began with existing literature detailed analysis. The final conclusions were drawn from the analysis of secondary data available on the internet and other secondary sources. Since this research is based on a broad subject, secondary research methodology is the best methodology available which can be used for such research subject. The literature review and the conclusion of the research are deduced from the secondary sources and the data has been extracted from the sources written in the reference list.
