Elements and Components of the Court System

There are various elements and components of the court system of United States. For the purpose of managing the courts efficiently and effectively, various components are considered essential for the court systems in United States. Interdependent combination of judicial officers along with all the other resources is considered important. Moreover, the elements are categorized as adjudication, governance, due process and infrastructure. These entire elements are assumed to be the most important components that must be available within the court systems to provide efficient court working (www.uscourts.gov).

Within the element of adjudication, there are certain authorities who are required by the court system like justices, judges, judicial assistants, law clerks, central staff, hearing officers and general magistrates. Moreover, senior judges, and mediation service providers are also important within this respect. From the viewpoint of governance; executive directors, clerks, administrators are important components of the court system of United States. Due Process includes the court reporting staff, interpreting staff and expert witnesses as essential components. Infrastructure relates to the facilities of law library, security, technology and other significant facilities to be present within the jurisdictions of courts.

It is extremely important to realize that the court systems are extremely complex and contains various elements. Arraignment, trial and sentencing are the basic elements of criminal justice system. All the facilities provided by the court systems for the purpose of handling the arraignment, trial and sentencing elements of the criminal justice system are important. Arraignment refers to the proceeding which informs individuals about the charges he faces, whereas trial as the actual legal proceeding being held in a public courtroom.
