Thesis statement

The aim of this paper is to help evaluate myself. I would use my self evaluation to plan my future self-managed learning and career development as a leader. The paper would establish the learning that how self evaluation can enhance long life leadership development. I would learn to take responsibility of personal and professional leadership development.Leadership

Leadership is the process, by which an individual has influence over people and inspires, motivates and directs its activities to reach the goals; the essence of leadership is to have followers. Power of a leader is the ability to induce or influence the beliefs or actions of other individuals or groups. Authority is a right in a position to make decisions. Formal authority is a power based on the recognition of the legitimacy. Components of Leadership are the ability to use power effectively and responsibly. Ability to understand that human beings have different motivational forces at different times, ability to inspire, ability to act, in a way to develop an environment conducive to responding to the motivations and encouraged.

Leadership Development concerns to any action that raises the quality of leadership within an individual or organization. These activities have offered at university business schools to action learning, high-ropes courses and executive retreats. Leadership development is an effort (hopefully, planned in nature) that enhances the learner's capacity to head oneself, other individuals, groups and organizations. A critical skill for leaders is the power to manage their own learning - the highly motivated, self-directed reader can gain a great deal of learning.

Leadership arrives in to play when the individual facets of a demeanor mode proceed from personal development to leadership development; habitually approaching in brain that the intended outcome is to set up a lasting relationship. Impairment of individual and professional judgment is possibly the most convoluted variable in human behavior. It requires understanding, patience and a genuine interactive dialogue between individuals for the purpose of connection difficulties explaining forms which lead to creative, careful and supportive connection outcomes. The prime and centered point in the individual and leadership relationships need. Needs and meeting the needs of people's desire will be what truly drives a relationship. Without need, connection is practically non-existent (Bennis, 1997).Leadership versus management

For many individuals, managers and leaders are terms often used in the same context, but unfortunately, they are not synonymous. While managers are faced with many tasks, each and every day, and one of this is leading people. The main goal of a successful manager is to achieve the maximum output of the organization by way of administrative implementation. Managers need to communicate effectively with their assigned staff.
