Social Responsibility of Business Is To Increase Its Profits

Introduction

For many, the view that the main goal or purpose of business is to make as much money as possible is accepted as a matter of fact and is beyond debate. To go further and say that the social responsibility of a company is also only for profit is open to debate. The aim of this paper is to discuss the various views of corporate responsibility, and to consider whether the accounts fit also to explore the ethical responsibilities that a company can have more than making profits for their shareholders. In this essay I will discuss Milton Friedman's essay, "The social responsibility of business is to increase its profits" in 1970 on the social responsibility of a company and its theory, called the "perspective of efficiency." In all the articles and books I've read about social responsibility "of Friedman efficiency perspective is placed centrally. During my research I found that Friedman is often criticized for being too classical. Friedman considers the duty of every moral goal or even the manager of the company must always be to maximize profits. However, there is a condition that makes his views more complicated, not only for me but also by several authors noted. (Friedman, 1970, pp. 44)

According to Friedman, the obligations of the directors must take place: "... while conforming to basic rules of society, both those enshrined in the law and those embodied in ethical custom." This leads to one of the main points of my essay: How Friedman "Efficiency prospect of" giving bases for the behaviour of moral accountability and international? And we have some concern if it does? To answer the questions completely, first of all need to explain the two different parts of the first question: the responsible conduct of international management and the moral behaviour of international management. In business today you combine these two parts, respectively, responsible and moral becomes social responsibility in international management. The second question anticipates the theories and models that we have to take into account the view of Friedman; efficiency gives no basis for social responsibility in international management. But before going further to answer these questions, first explain more about the social responsibility concept. After that explain the complete theory of Friedman, and their relationship to these different models of social responsibility, and, finally, I will draw a conclusion. (Sinclair, 2004, 125-139)

"Business ethics commits the moral principles and standards that guide behaviour in the business world" (Ferrell and Fraedrich).
