There are few things more important to the leadership of human activity. Most people, regardless of their occupation, education, political or religious beliefs, or culture, recognizing that leadership is a phenomenon and very consistent. Political candidates proclaiming, experts talk about it, what value companies, and military organizations depend on it. The French diplomat Talleyrand once said: "I have more fear of an army of 100 sheep led by a lion than an army of 100 lions led by a sheep." Guides effective presidency of the nation in times of danger, promotes effective teamwork and group performance, makes successful organizations, and in the form of parenting, nurtures the next generation. Winston Churchill, Prime Minister of Britain during World War II, was able to galvanize the will of its people under siege with the words. "I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat" When leadership is absent, the effects can be equally dramatic organizations move slowly, stagnate, and often lose their shape. The League of Nations created after World War has not responded to the challenges of time largely due to the lack of effective safety leadership. With regard to bad leaders, Kellerman (2004) makes an important distinction between the leaders incompetent and corrupt leaders. This could also add to the leaders who are "toxic." inadequate leadership can perpetuate the misery of people under their control. Consider the case of Jim Jones, leader of People's Temple, who in 1978 ordered the mass suicide of 900 followers in what was called the Slaughter of Jonestown, or the corrupt leaders of Enron and Arthur Andersen that thousands of impoverished workers and led the dissolution of a larger organization. These examples remind us that there are many ways in which leadership can fail.

In my opinion, when you think about the leadership, ideas of power, authority, influence and may come to mind. You may think that the actions of effective leaders in achieving important goals. You may think of the real people who have been recognized for their leadership skills. Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th president of the United States, leadership is defined as "the ability to decide what to do, then others want. "Leadership can be defined as the ability of an individual to influence the thoughts, attitudes and behavior of others. Is the process by which others are motivated to contribute to the success of the groups that are members. Leaders set the direction of their followers and help them focus their energies on achieving their objectives

I think the leadership is more likely to become the group focused on the increasingly decentralized organizations. Other changes that occur as a result of new and emerging technologies. Avolio and colleagues (2003) refer to this as "e-leadership." The effectiveness of leadership depends on leader's ability to integrate new technologies into the standards and culture of your organization.
