Primary Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities that I have carried out throughout my career as an educational specialist include planning, designing and developing curriculum and assessing contents (Malik & Ain, 2012). The curriculums are required to be compatible with the national and state standards. I have worked in teams to collaborate with curriculum managers and specialists in order to develop innovative curriculum for students. I was also engaged in researching innovative curriculum practices in order to develop a comprehensive curriculum.

It is also important for curriculum specialists to stay updated with the latest trends in curriculum setting and the developments in the standards of curriculum development (Malik & Ain, 2012). In order to stay updated with the latest trends, I have maintained professional memberships. I have attended different conferences in order to update my knowledge.

Curriculum specialists are required to meet professional obligations by managing deadlines and coordinating different activities (Malik & Ain, 2012). My effective organization skills have always been successful in meeting deadlines and coordinating all my activities in a timely fashion. Curriculum specialists are required to meet certain targets and goals. I have successfully met by targets and developed successful curriculum that has positively contributed towards the education of school districts I have worked for.

The success of any professional depends on knowledge, abilities, and skill (Jones, 2011). My abilities and skills have always helped me attain a competitive advantage. I possess in-depth knowledge of pedagogy and curriculum design that I have acquired with the help of my education and experience. I have always considered copyright standards when developing standards. I possess sufficient knowledge of essential copyright standards that are required to be considered when developing curriculum.
