Introduction

The main purpose of this paper is to discuss the power of business in order to create the solutions which are profitable to the environment and the other development challenges. In order to create the profitable solutions to the business and the environment, the first thing which comes in mind is the leader. A leader is one who has the power to provide the solutions to the business and the environment.

Leadership Challenge in the Organization

In this section I have to describe a leadership challenge faced by my company. I work in an I.T. organization and my company is suffering from the crisis. During the crisis, the main challenge for leaders is to mobilize the organization to identify the challenges they face and develop adaptive capacity to face them. Same is the case with my organization. At that time the leaders of my company were facing the challenge to mobilize the organization. Difficult times are times of crisis, change and opportunity. They are not necessarily bad times. Hard times may be adverse or not depending on how you face it. There are many companies that successfully make it through difficult times by using their ability to turn problems into opportunities and threats.

There is an adaptive problem and a technical problem. If you go to the doctor and was diagnosed with appendicitis, the doctor, as a leader who faces a problem, has identified a technical problem that he can be solved without requiring a change in the patient's behavior. But if you go to the doctor and was diagnosed with diabetes, he has identified a problem that cannot be solved by surgery or by a prescription drug. The solution to this problem is not something the doctor can do, but that he achieved that you carry out major changes in their habits of life under professional guidance (diet, drinking habits, etc.). Here the problem is not technical, but adaptive; requiring major changes in the behavior of the patient and the physician who faces the challenge of encouraging the patient to make those changes for the rest of his life.

When an organization faces troubled times and having the adaptive problems to overcome, it faces the challenge of making radical changes in many of the habits and organizational practices. This requires profound changes in the behavior of many people within the organization. An important feature of many adaptive problems is the difficulty of diagnosis and another is the difficulty of finding solutions. Those cases do not come to understand what is happening or why they are the hardest. The task of leadership in times of crisis management is to create within the organization a new culture, new values, new standards, new beliefs, and especially, new patterns of behavior.

At that time of crisis, my company was facing with the difficulties of identifying the challenges they were facing. So, it was the main task of the leaders at that time to identify those issues and develop some adaptive capacity ...
