ABSTRACT
In this research study, the study focuses on the leadership issues that exist in Emirates NBD Bank. In Emirates NBD Bank there are numerous leadership issues because of which employees are not much motivated with the management styles of the bank. For this mixed research methods were chosen and interviews were conducted from the managers of the selected bank i.e. Emirates NBD Bank. After the responses of questionnaire and interviews, it was concluded that Emirates NBD Bank is facing numerous leadership challenges. For coping those, managers, as well as, employees must implement their leadership qualities in the organization in order to better handle the leadership challenges.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
Background of the Research
The Middle East banking industry is facing major leadership challenges. I conducted a research study in which a Middle East bank was selected. The selected bank was Emirates NBD Bank, this study discussed the reasons behind leadership challenges that bank is facing and what strategies must be followed by the bank in order to cope up with those challenges.
Leadership can be defined as the process in which a person for accomplishing organizational goals and objectives influences others. The leader (cause) motivates someone else to act (effect). The cause to act might emerge in a number of different ways. When a good leader can identify the potential of people around him and inspire them to take on those tough challenges. According to the researcher Peters (2005), “the company leaders should look for top employees who show qualities associated with success, like good communication skills, demonstrated leadership talent, and a willingness to make sacrifices for the sake of the organization (pp.15).” Good leadership, then, must move beyond basic leadership.
