Introduction

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is a British professional body for those employed in engineering and having expertise in the United Kingdom and worldwide. It was formed from two distinct institutions: the Institution of Electrical Engineers, way back in 1871, and the Institution of Incorporated Engineers dating back to 1884.
