There are 3 basic approaches which can be used to manage the implementation of proposed technological or IT techniques. The first is the traditional project management which has been chosen for implementation in the Hometown Deli. This type of project management does not require an in depth study of the technologies involved in the project or even during the project work (Cleland, 2008).
Project Schedule
During the project management, a schedule must be constructed which would include the list of the projects terminal elements with the date of the start and completion of the project, in this case the implementation of the technological solution for Hometown Deli to bring it up to date. However, these terminal elements are not divided up and include the resource, budgetary and time duration requirements of the project which are dependent upon the events which have been scheduled and the various dependencies (Cleland, 2008). Furthermore, three factors have to be carefully taken into account when outlining the schedule, that daily progress is updated, the work is divided evenly amongst the team members and that Estimation At Completion value should towards the end be equal to the base value (PMBOK, 2004).
Resources
The required resources should be carefully listed along with the availability of the resources which are required by the Hometown Deli. This is a very important step in the project schedule is to be on time and the project management to be successful (PMBOK, 2004).
Deliverables
The deliverable in project management is either a product or service which has to be given to the customers. These are tangible with actual deadlines and are therefore every specific. In Hometown Deli's case, the 'internal customers' have to be given the deliverables to aid them in achieving the milestone or due date which ...
