Criminal justice is the application or study of the laws on criminal behavior. Those who study criminal justice are the police, working in a capacity of judiciary and lawyers who either defend or prosecute those accused of a crime. Others work to advocate for changes in the current criminal justice system, such as those who make decisions on existing laws, such as members of the Supreme Court. It is important that the criminal justice system includes the word justice, as laws applied to those accused of a crime should be fair.
