Introduction

An ethically responsible citizen has been defined by many experts as the individual who tends to operate in the society as per the limits marked by the constitution of his or her country. In a society where the nomenclature tends to stand on the grounds of the diverse democratic population. The responsibilities of the citizens tends to be elevated in any such context, however, it is the citizens which tends to lay the foundation for effective built of any society. A society which tends to be democratically diverse society tends to involve various groups and the need to cater and address the needs of the various groups tends to increase. However, the fact must be kept in sight that the democratic society tends to be a society everyone enjoys certain rights, and they have the power to use them against any illegal action or any other action that is harming him (James, 2009). These rights are set according to the society norms and are followed accordingly. These rights give an individual legal protection; however, they also carry with them citizens responsibilities.

However, in the whole context of the paper the role of the democracy cannot be ignored since it is the democracy which tends to allow the individuals to exercise their right in the given framework of the society. There are certain responsibilities associated to a citizen which the individual needs to follow in order to fall under the bracket of the ethically responsible citizen. Moreover, it won't be wrong to state that an ethically responsible citizen is the one who tends to fall the suite of the laws and tends to give the due rights of the individual to them. In the context of the paper we intend to discuss the responsibilities of the individual to tend to be marked as the ethically responsible citizen within a diverse democratic Society. It would done through different perspectives in order to develop a better understanding of the subject.

Responsible Citizen

Being a responsible citizen means to make responsible decisions that affect you most, and which, in turn, affect the situation, the mood of the people around you. However, this entire scenario tends to be linked to the state as a whole. In the light of the research it can be stated that the certain qualities tends to classify the individual as a responsible citizen. An ethically responsible citizen of the state tends to abide by the nomenclature which can be identified as abiding by and enforce the Constitution and laws of the Republic, to work, within their capabilities and possibilities, in socially useful activities, to acquire at least an elementary education, to contribute in proportion to their economic capacity to sustain public services.
