The Accused 1988

The accused is a script about Sarah Tobias, a woman of dubious characteristic, who is gang raped in a bar by three men, while other ones looked on and cheered. Outraged by the plea cut-rate made by the prosecuting advocate, Sarah is shocked. In an effort to right this incorrect her support, Kathryn Murphy, adds the onlookers to court for soliciting the misdeed, therefore refurbishing Sarah as the casualty, and putting the rape on record. In the end the onlookers were found out at obvious error and Sarah is vindicated. (Estrich, 1987)
