A WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) refers to the subdivision of activities involved in a project. The main purpose is organization and establishing the layout and process flow. Work Breakdown Structures are grouped by either desired project outcomes (deliverables) or activities, depending on the type of WBS that is made. This defines the two types of Work Breakdown Structures as being deliverables based or process based.
