Introduction

Women, throughout the history, have been victimized because of the prejudice that prevails in every society. Women are not considered for the administrative roles because of the fact that people have associated stereotypes with the way they deal. Women are likely to assume roles that are not result-oriented. It is believed that men are likely to assume roles that are authoritative because they have a will to act. The male leadership is the one that is believed to be more inclined towards performance, whereas women leadership is people-oriented. Men do not tend to develop relationships because they want the work to be done in a way that organizational objectives are materialized. Despite the fact that women strive for the establishment of an environment that is based on trust and encourages collaboration, they are discriminated and underpaid throughout the world.

Discussion

In order to understand the differences between the leadership styles of men and women, it is important to understand their behavior. Women tend to be collaborative leaders as they want a positive environment to flourish at the workplace unlike the men that tend to be autocratic in their behavior. For women, people have needs that are to be catered by the organization in order to maximize the organizational productivity. They are of the belief that the employees of the organization are not to be overburdened because they have a limited capacity to work and perform according to the standards of the organization. Despite the prominent role of women in some of the most important developments around the world, they have been facing discrimination in every walk of life.
