The Elements of effective Management Research

Explore and discuss what these key debates are about and how they might inform your own views of research and choosing a research topic.

The key debates about the research are that management research is an ongoing process and it should never be stopped because it helps in uncovering new possibilities and issues thru which management staff will be able to identify new cause and effect relationships which impact the individual people and the organization. Management researchers carry the similar principles of the knowledge which are prominently used by other disciples which include social sciences and other important fields of science. Management research can be carried out in order to fulfill multiple objectives of an individual. Some of the objectives are to provide academic knowledge of the field while the rest of the researchers will be working for the sponsors who will including the returns on the research conducted as the research will be sold. Applied researchers believe the fact that the individuals have been able to conduct a research with complete rigor while the others have been able to identify that pure basic research have been able to identify that the rigor can only be obtained in basic researches. Another issue which has been raised in conducting the research which includes that whether individual should be developing new questions in order to probe or should be able to develop hypothesis and move in a quest to reject or accept a hypothesis which includes positivist and it should be measured with the help of objective measure. Many leaders have been able to depict the transformational leadership style while avoiding the transactional leadership style in order to improve the situation of the organization (Alvesson et al, 2008, pp-480). ...
