Introduction

Internet has converted today's globalized world into a place for doing anything at ease. Job searching was considered to be the most crucial process for the fresh graduates, as well as experienced personnel. However, there are many sites having distinctive features imbedded within their site design which can help the job seekers with their job hunt.

Discussion

I have chosen a total of four websites, which are quite popular all over the world. A brief description about the names, as well as core features will be evaluated in the coming discussions. All the sites address one general goal which is to assist the job searchers.

All these websites are quite common for seeking numerous jobs using the internet right from one's home. Also, they serve a platform to make both the recruiter and job seekers to meet under a single place. It also acts as a bridge to connect the needs of the employers who have posted their jobs and are willing to fill in the vacancy using third parties. It even makes the task of Human Resource Management workforce evaluate the resume and go through the candidate's profile.

Search Strategy

Monster.com is quite common website which is used all across the globe. It features the basic as well as advanced search options. In the basic search, basic keywords; like, job designation, skills and relevant educational credential could be stated. It also requires company names and zip codes of the region to locate the optimum role for the person searching for a job. The site also bears a browsing option for finding relevant jobs (manually). In the advanced feature, various other options; including, posting date, salary range and level of experience (to name a few) can be stated for narrowing the search (Monster.com, 2013).

CareerBuilder.com is also quite helpful job finding the site and have the same essential searching features as Monster.com. However, in advanced searches; the “NOT” operator is also used within it for excluding particular job titles, companies and keywords. Rest of the features is quite similar to Monster.com (Careerbuilder.com, 2013a).

US Jobs is quite useful site for searching jobs in United States. The primary search is quite similar to the previous two, but it includes an option called “category” for choosing the field of responsibility the ...
