Introduction

Defining Learning has not been easy, so there are plenty of concepts, as many as theories that explain it. To be able to understand the styles of learning is necessary to explore the different theories that underlie them. However, before exploring these theories, we can say that learning is a process of acquisition of a provision, relatively durable, to change the perception or behavior as a result of experience. The psychology of learning is the study of the processes that produce relatively permanent changes in the behavior of the individuals'. Psychology of learning plays a vital role in education. Educators and teachers should consider essential areas such as expectations, motivation, interest and student's need.

Vicarious learning is also known as observational learning, modeling or social learning. It is the kind of learning that is executed as the function of various factors such as observing, retaining and replication behavior that is occurred by others. It is said that reinforcement will have a lesser degree of influence on the original obtaining of the new response although on the other hand it has a far much reaching impact on the effect one has on influencing which response will one take part in (Dimitrova & Mizoguchi, 2009).

One can experience the vicarious learning at any stage of life, but it has a greater impact at the level of childhood, specifically as authority becomes important. The most appropriate role models for observational learning are of a year or two. Thus social learning had many arguments on the effect of the violence shown on television and the role of parental model.

Learning by imitation, with signs discriminative auditory and social reinforcement is as a teaching technique school. Vicar or Social Learning is a way of acquiring new behaviors through observation. In behavior therapy is also called modeling.

The "imitation" is conduct that is known from historical records, and has even been observed in animals, with a sophisticated look to your intelligence.

Besides being a well established technique in clinical, vicarious learning is also a paradigm of learning formally developed by psychologist Albert Bandura (Bandura, et.al 1966). It is a model of behaviorism highly evolved that highlights the possibility of learning behaviors following the models seen in other people that are identified without the need of practice. It is this lack of need to practice to learn, which is a bankruptcy with Skinnerian paradigm, for which behaviors are established by reinforcement only. There have been other paradigms rivals reinforcement model, but had not established the inadequacy of non-mediational paradigm (which does not take into account the characteristics of the subject, features that mediate between stimulus and response) so loud and clear.
