The world in which we live today is beautiful. To live in this world and to live in this society there is a proper etiquettes and manners to live in this society. Similarly, different institutions in our society also have certain codes of conducts and a specific way to live and conduct. One such code of conduct is related to wearing uniforms. In modern days, there is serious debate going on about the policy of the wearing and not wearing uniforms in the educational institutes. The aim and objective of this paper is also to talk about this phenomenon. The arguments in this paper are presented in the favor. The paper presents arguments related to the policy that students should not be allowed to wear casual clothes in educational institutes rather they should wear uniforms.

In educational institutes the most important element is of decorum. Decorum is very essential in fulfilling the main objective of the educational institutes which is to gain knowledge and to provide information. Uniforms are also important in maintaining the decorum of the educational institutes. Many parents believe that school uniforms gives children a neat and pleasant look. Also, wearing a uniform ensures that children go to school with appropriate clothing and avoid the distraction of fashion. Many schools that do not require school uniforms become true fashion shows. This aspect distracts students from their studies because many spend more time thinking about the clothes they wear or in discussing the latest style or fashion in vogue. Every morning, the children wearing school uniform knows how to dress up. In contrast, those not in uniform should take a few minutes every day thinking about what should be worn (some children, they spend considerable time), what would make them look superior and more fashionable (CQ Researcher, 1996).

School uniforms reduce violence among students. Many children fight in school on clothes. Often the origin of these fights is the clothes children wear to school. Some of the kids make fun of those who do not wear fashionable clothes. In addition, those who cannot afford designer clothes or the latest fashion are often sensitive about the clothes they wear.
