The main focus of the research is on the “addiction of nicotine” and the “diverse factors that significantly influence towards the addiction of nicotine especially among young people”. Nevertheless, the research also analyzes “several litigations and regulations” that are constructed to cope with the problem of this addiction. In addition, the research outlines several “effects of the addiction of nicotine”. Finally the research proposes diverse strategies through which “Nicotine addiction” can be prevented and provides a platform for the future studies on it.

Introduction

The link between drugs and the performing arts has a long history. Hallucinogens were a staple element in shamanistic cultures, and natural psychoactive drugs, such as the fly agaric mushroom, were in widespread use. In the mechanism of addiction to cigarette smoke, nicotine plays the biggest role. The first symptoms of dependence occur after a few days of smoking, even after firing a few cigarettes. However, perhaps the first real link between performance, drug use and the rise of popular culture can be found in the popularity of medicine shows in the nineteenth and early twentieth century's in the United States. Medicine shows promoted the use of drugs by both performer and audience, as cocaine and morphine formed the basis of ...
