Skill Gapping

Skills' gapping is considered as a process which is employed to improve the training requirements of employees. Many organizations focus on the need to enhance effectiveness of tasks which are being performed in the organizations (Hooijberg, Lane, 2010). Many employees often feel it difficult in relation to completion of tasks which are carried out in the organization. These tasks require skills and the process which is related to facilitate employees in this regard is known as skill gapping. It requires fresh on job training of employees.

Need for Skill Gapping

Employees must also possess sufficient skills which are essential and training is needed in this regard. Managers should master these skills as they are essential not only to give an example of effective behaviors in the workplace, but also to see the importance of helping employees under them acquire skills they need. The success of a training policy depends not only on the degree of professionalism of the training manager, but also the quality of relationships with other partners, including the employees of the business relationship. The perception of employees depends largely on the quality of management. The manager plays an important role in the development of employees' skills and ensures a good transfer of knowledge and skills in professional activity (Galagan, 2010).
