In this study we try to explore concept of “C.C.T.V” in holistic context. The main focus of study is on “C.C.T.V” & its relation with “Schools & Colleges”. The study also analyzes many aspects of “C.C.T.V” & tries to gauge its effect on “Schools & Colleges”. Background of study
The widespread introduction of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) surveillance cameras into Educational institutes & universities is marked by two distinct features. Firstly, in unprecedented speed of their uptake, & secondly, in lack of societal discourse accompanying their introduction into `public' places. The latter is of particular interest considering potential threat to civil liberties which surveillance cameras represent. This research seeks to identify rapid uptake of CCTV technology in Educational institutes, universities & other `public' places, & to explore some of reasons for speed of their uptake. It also discusses some of issues & implications for policy processes & governance arising from introduction & use of surveillance cameras.
Rationale
Schools remain unconvinced of benefits of such systems, either for school staff or education in general. As the consequence, Schools would continue to monitor possible spread of such innovations, extending its policy (& guidance) if & when it is considered necessary.

Significance
There is the danger, given that there are an increasing number of companies actively promoting their wares in field of safety surveillance that schools would install first & then think later about how they can usefully employ equipment. In such instances, there would also be scope for slack administration & potential misuse.
