It can be used as training resource for leaders in small group sessions. This book is useful with every possible aspect for leaders, should be carefully studied. It reveals the facts of “prepared to be challenged and prepared to change”. The book has challenged and revealed some of the unconscious thoughts and wrong opinions on leadership and shown a true biblical concept of a true leader.

It is an inspiring book and a very helpful tool to those who are involved in Christian leadership. “The Making of a Leader” is a powerful book to read and study. It helps in understanding the test and trials in an individual's life. There are tests that a leader has to go through and there is character all leaders must have. This is all part of our preparation. Responding correctly to the situation or circumstances is what God is after. Will you respond God's way or the world's way? Your character can cause you to fulfil or forfeit your call to leadership. Tests lets one know if I he is becoming more like Christ in the responses. Along with this book, I used Frank Damazio "Timothy Leadership Program". Both books together are a great "marriage". I encourage all serious believers to read this book. It is not just for leaders but a good teaching on being built in the image of Christ and dying to self-daily.

The book has an excellent reading and informative material. This book is packed with knowledge and the skills it takes to become a Christian Leader in today's time it also reminds how leadership has evolved from yesterday. This book lays out a deep and broad discussion over the responsibilities for a number of groups of followers. It also provides the Scriptural analysis of the history, qualification, philosophy, practices and the preparation of the “Christian Leadership”.

The Nature of Leadership

Although the church struggle throughout the past few centuries with failures in leadership, the word “Leadership” continues to be the God's Idea. According to the Old Testament, God called women and men to play the role of leadership, to bring along his purposes and his words to his people. In order to bring the nation of Israel in the land of promise he called Joshua and Moses, and judges were sent to help them in domination to overcome the issues of that time. The Kings were the one who use to anoint in order to fulfil the God's promises. Out of many kings and helpers, some were to be failed in spreading the word of God, but some found it the compassions of God and these were used tremendously.
