Introduction

To start with the history of business communication, of course there is a need to start discussion with the histories of communication process and later to business operations. If we combine both terms together, they become the component of successful business.

Communication is process of transferring ideas and sharing thoughts between two or among several people in words. Once the thought come in the mind of a person, he/she transform or encode these thoughts into words which are understand by other people and convey these thoughts to other people. People who listen or hear these words may be able to decode these words into their understanding. This is called the process of communication. Communication can take place in other kinds of transferring the messages. Communication can be occurred as a gesture. Sounds, body languages, facial expressions and visuals can also be the part of communication.

Many of the initial kinds of visual communication came in the kind of photographs. People used to convey their stories in the form of pictures. Theories and histories are told by number of drawn illustration, which were usually made on the cave walls.

Written Communication

Written communication is another vital and significant part of communication. Initially it was used by creating a raw form of words. These crude forms of alphabets were used to establish a written language. The movement of communication was also taken place at the time when these letters were found on barks of trees, clay and wax. Leaves of the trees were also used to write the languages. The next stage of communication took place when proper printing press agencies were started establishing in the late of 15th century. Next step moved to the technological modernization and further advancements in which air waves and other sort of electronic signals were used by the society. Radio and telephones were developed for these purposes.

Communication Development

These stages of communication development continued assisting the advancement of businesses. The origin of general alphabets and a language of writing intended that craftsmen may order for raw materials from prior unachievable resources.
