INTRODUCTION

Developing an organisational change has significantly affected every organisation in the hotel industry. By the use of technological development and developing different innovative applications, continuously developing and enhancing products and services, organisations can develop sustainable competitive advantage. Doing all this requires information, and knowledgeable resources. In this competitive environment, organisations focus on developing knowledgeable and skilled resources. This research will help in developing an understanding the impact of training programs in the organisation, specifically analysing the case of Human Resource Department in Hilton Hotel. In order to continuously develop their employees, every organisations needs to conduct various trainings that are relevant to it business activities. This training and development is conducted, based on what and how the organisations wants to achieve it goals, thereby analysing the training needs of their employees.

Almost all organizations want Human Resource management to arrange some kind of training for their staff. Then the management groups of different departments decide which employees need to go to such training. According to Meek, during these training programs sometimes the employees feel bit uncomfortable because this is new to their everyday task. In the other hand most employees look forward to these training courses to build up their career path. Sometimes these are also provided to the corporate leaders to control their power and leadership in managing the organization. Furthermore, the research tries to understand the role played by information technology-based training in increasing the efficiency level of the employees. Thus, it will be analysing the effectiveness of the training programs that are being conducted in Hilton Hotel for the development and learning of their employees.

PURPOSE OF THE STUDY

The research is conducted to analyse the role of Human Resource Department (HRD) in Hilton Hotel. Furthermore the research is focused on developing understanding the relationship between information technology and HRD. The main purpose of conducting this research is to evaluate and assess the effectiveness of the training programs that are conducted by Hilton Hotel for the development of their employees.

PARTICIPANTS OF THE SURVEY

There will be two sets of participants: the first group includes employees/ staff member of the Hilton Hotel. This group will be asked to fill a questionnaire survey for share their thoughts, ideas, and provide their feedback with respect to the training programs that are being carried in Hilton Hotel. The second group includes managers and supervisors from different departments of the hotel. This group will be asked a set of questions in the form of interview.
