The Disability Act- 1995

Introduction

The legislation that is most relevant to my counselling placement is 'The Disability Act' which was put in place in year 1995. The act states,' Protection of people with disabilities from discrimination in areas of employment, access to buildings, access to goods and services' (Horner, 2009).

Discussion

The Disability Discrimination Act (1995)

The act basically protects people with disabilities in all aspects of employment, prohibits dismissals by reason of disability and provides de marginalization of services for Disabilities. The 1995 Act is relevant for companies in which h more than 15 employees are working.
