The activity of conveying information through the exchange of information, messages or thoughts, as by behavior, signals, speech, writing or visuals, is called communication. When one needs to fulfill a goal, the importance and ability of communication become much more crucial (Chandel, 2012). When the exact idea or information is transmitted by the sender to the receiver, effective communication occurs. Through the process of communication, one supervises, counsel, coach evaluate and coordinate.
To provide psychological support to their athletes, to manage their teams, to interact with administrators and parents, to give tactical and technical instruction, good communications skills are required by coaches. Therefore, the studying of the communication process is highly important (Cunningham & Singer, 2010). In this research paper, one coach and two athletes are interviewed to understand the importance of communication for them, in what way they communicate with their team or staff, their reason of selecting their career path and their future goals, differences and similarities between the interviewed people and what outcomes can be driven from their experiences.

Provide some background information about yourself.
I'm the head coach, and I have thirty years of experience competing in this sport. I have also worked with male athletes in the past. I'm bilingual, i.e. francophone and Anglophone.
What is the importance of communication for you?
When I joined as a coach of the girls' team, I wanted them to be felt heard that is why I tried to talk to the girls in the first place, as for me, with this group, communication process is my first priority. As I personally feel that being a coach, you must interact with each team member and adjust your coaching according to each candidate, by spending time with them to learn about them and what are their expectations from me (Mahoe, 2007).
In what way do you communicate with your team or staff?
It is an interactive deal with the athletes. Moreover, it is more like a two-way deal since they get a lot of effort from me and likewise, I need a lot of effort from them. Therefore, it is like a lot of interactive dialogue between us both. But at times, the team gets misguided, which is the stance where I guide them with our current goal and our future goal and the steps we require to reach that predicted goal. If one my athletes, initiate the interaction, I appreciate it greatly.
Why did you select coaching only as your career path?
