Introduction

The goal of this paper is to create an idea of 2 small business firms that are a part of Healthcare services company in United Kingdom. NHS and British Red Cross organizations have been working since a long time in healthcare, though both of them utilizes various strategies to achieve their goals and objectives. However, the essence of this paper would be to understand their similarities, dissimilarities and those methods which these firms employ in order to perform. Small business companies are not only categorized by their number of employees, but also the revenue they generate and volume of production.

NHS (National Health Services)

National Health Services are comprised with four health care systems that include, NHS Scotland, NHS England, Social and Healthcare in Northern Ireland, and NHS Wales. The organization developed in 1948 and still works on a public healthcare funded system. The facilities provided by NHS organization are vast, and varieties of healthcare services for UK customers are free at the point.

Purpose of the Business

According to National Health Service, their core principles and objectives are produced generally on the socio-economic development. The group offers a variety of primary healthcare and treatment services to all the UK citizens at free of charge at a point. NHS was born on a long-held principle that quality health treatments should be offered to all, regardless of profit and wealth. At the time of its establishment, the minister of health Bevan, Aneurin on 1948 described three core objectives of the organization. 1) At the point of the delivery, all healthcare facilities would be free of cost, 2) The NHS organization will meet all the requirements of the people in need, and 3) NHS will be based on the need and treatment of the person, not his ability to pay and wealth status (NHS, 2013a, p. n.d).

For more than half a century, these three principles have been guiding the NHS towards improvement, however, in 2000 the principles were extended and their aims expanded over a number of social-economic objectives (NHS, 2013a, p. n.d).

Comprehensive range of treatment and services to be provided.

Services to be shaped according to the preferences and needs of the patients, their care persons and their families.

Tackle the population load differently at different regions.

Value and support the team working in National Health Services.

All the federal funding should be applied over expanding and solely to the patients.

Health inequality should be reduced, and promotion to be applied over public health expansion.

Information systems to be included in order to improve health services and should be dedicated more towards information security of the patients.

Organizational Structure

NHS has been working on continuous growth. Numbers of changes have been observed in recent years; however, more development is going to be experienced in later years. NHS use different standards on quality, safety and price to develop the healthcare services and easy access to the local communities (NHS, 2013b, p. n.d).
