The purpose of this study is to discover the characteristics and role of environmental management, wrapping all the significant aspects, values and practices, and to provide a comprehensible and clear introduction, which can evaluate the sustainability policies implemented by an organization's environmental management. This study also includes proactive approaches and precautionary values to introduce and implement these policies. These policies are susceptible and more adjustable for the organization or a company. This study is demonstrated all the way through the facts and figure and case studies. The establishment, evaluation and implementation of environment and sustainability policy are involved in this study. It clearly describes the traditional public policy with an understanding perceptive of the sustainability troubles and an approval of the multifaceted institutional systems which plays a vital role in establishing modern civil society. This study further introduces an operational framework for policy investigation and recommendation, and offers different ways of satisfying important factors of an efficient policy process.

Since environmental sustainability has turned out to be the basis of business and government issues. The main purpose of environmental sustainability is to set the targets of progression by training the practitioners, who can easily manage the various systems of our planet that can guarantee the possibility of a long-term and healthy life. In order to maintain the environment and fulfill the commitment to work on the values of sustainable environmental development, guiding principles of building are provided by sustainable environmental management. They are values which have always been important to the company, informing its approach to the sustainable construction.

If the certain and prospective gravity of human-induced climate change is focused, then it is required that the company should recognize the duty for evaluating its attempt in trying to adjust its procurement. Implementation of power should be carried out in such a manner that can be sustainable, for minimizing carbon emission as much as possible and utilizing carbon offsets or other emissions to lessen the residual emissions, as well as for providing guidance in sustainable environmental policies.

Environmental management is considered to be a wide, growing, and speedily developing field, which is a concern of all human beings as it plays a critical role in the mission for sustainable environmental management. Environmental management influences everyone from individual, supervisors, and lawyers to business, governments, international organizations as well as non-governmental organizations (Barrow, 2006).
