Introdcution

Web Content Management Systems (CMS) are software used to get a website up and running fast and with minimal effort. After that CMS website software provides ability to easily change content. Usually a database stores content from where it is fetched by CMS when needed. (Andersen, 2002, pp601-609) For example a web store needs to show pictures and prices of sales items. Blogging CMS system creates blogs and stores blogs. Newspaper or magazine publishers have new articles in store to be published in certain dates. (Schindler, 2003, pp219-228) CMS gives such ability to ordinary website owners and users, who don't even need to know technical details. And users can interact. For example in a forum anybody may post or maybe a user account (membership) is required for posting. (Westerveld , 2003, pp411-418)

Not all content management systems are freeware. There are also CMS systems with licensing fees. Fees may also provide services to users like help in installation and problem solving. CMS market is wide using many different technologies and techniques. ASP.NET (Microsoft technology) is an example of other web technology used also for CMS systems, which may or may not have similar features like open source systems.

CMS is an important innovation that will be used more and more often in the years to come. According to the surveys, Content Management market is huge and it is growing day by day. This market will further grow from $3.5 billion in 2001 to $7 billion by 2006, says Ovum, a U.K.-based consultancy.

Programming Language Proposed

UML 1.x is proposed for this programming. As a modeling notation, the influence of the OMT notation dominates (e. g., using rectangles for classes and objects). Though the Booch "cloud" notation was dropped, the Booch capability to specify lower-level design detail was embraced. The use case notation from Objectory and the component notation from Booch were integrated with the rest of the notation, but the semantic integration was relatively weak in UML 1.1, and was not really fixed until the UML 2.0 major revision.

UML Testing Strategies

With any test strategy, you will find it useful to use a goal-based approach. Determine the goals of the test strategy and have them agreed with the project manager, developers and users before the project gets underway. These goals must complement those of the other project staff; goal setting is a good way of finding out whether other project staff really know what they are expected to achieve. Working on goals with the other project members helps in many ways. One advantage it has is to help contain the wonderful natural human optimism that a new tool or method will solve all our project problems; in this case that by picking up a new development language it will solve past problems.

Your first task is to identify the extent to which UML is being used on a project.

One risk, especially on an early UML project, is common to the adoption of ...
