This paper intends to discuss that whether putting restrictions on all over the counter substances that could be abused would do more infringe on the freedom of American citizens or help in the reduction of substance abuse. Substance abuse has become one of the major problems the American society is faced with. People tend to abuse all over the counter medications like cough syrup, cold medication and glue. The purpose of this paper is to make the readers aware about the significance of restricting over the counter substances.
