Writing a Five Paragraph Essay

As its name entails, a five-paragraph essay comprises of five paragraphs. The actual body of the text consists of three parts: an introduction, a body and a conclusion.

Introduction is the first paragraph of a five paragraph essay. The first sentence should be as interesting as possible to capture the reader's interest so this paragraph begins with an argument. A few sentences should follow the introductory statement to clarify the opening statement. A thesis statement should conclude the paragraph, and the quality of a good thesis statement is that it is very specific.
