Introduction

This paper intends to explore about students with dyslexia. This paper will discuss the prevention strategies that educators might consider while teaching students with dyslexia. Students with dyslexia usually suffer from reading failure. This reading failure can easily be prevented with early detection and thereby utilizing effective programs for teaching students with dyslexia. Moreover, the paper will also discuss the important aspects teachers or educators need to consider while teaching children with the problem of dyslexia. Dyslexia is basically a language related or a reading disorder.

Dyslexia is a disorder and must not be related with the lowered motivation to read and learn. Reading is a complex process which requires students to process the information both cognitively and physiologically (Olitsky, 2003). Sometimes, students are not completely able to process the information correctly and thus comprehend it. This disability is called as dyslexia. The purpose of this paper is to make the readers aware about the common learning disability of dyslexia along with the measure that can be taken to prevent or reduce the impact of such disabilities within students.

Dyslexia is a learning disability which hinders the attainment of knowledge in students. Dyslexia commonly refers to the problems students face with reading and writing. This reading and writing specifically focuses on words and letters. The biggest problem arises when the disability is not detected at the right time. The students' disability of reading failure can be easily reduced or even prevented through the early detection and utilization of effective programs accordingly for teaching the students with dyslexia (Lyon, 1995).

Dyslexia is defined as a condition which is usually inherited. This condition makes the students suffer in reading, writing and even spelling. This disability is common for the native languages of students. Foreign languages are almost next to impossible for such kind of students to learn. The parents and teachers need to focus on the symptoms on the disability. Students usually show symptoms like having extreme difficulties in spelling, pronouncing and even memorizing or recognizing the letters or alphabets. If all these symptoms are recognized properly, the disability can be prevented by altering the teaching methods according to the conditions of such students.

The disability of dyslexia can easily be rectified with various effective programs educators need to learn and implement appropriately. Good educators can always help students with dyslexia to improve the reading abilities significantly. Various technological advances and proper utilization of effective programs can help overshadowing the problems of the students with dyslexia. The most common methods utilize to overcome the reading failures in dyslexic students are direct, explicit and thorough instructive programs. All these programs implemented effectively can easily help any dyslexic students to overcome his or her reading failures (Lyon, 1995).
