Introduction

Business strategy is the art and science of crafting and implementing the tactics which enables the organization to achieve its long term and short term objectives. It is concerned with and aims for the organization's competitive advantage and maximum market share. To extract the full advantage and achieve the vision of the strategy implementation, it is necessary for the processes to align with the mission. The strategic planning process involves a wide range of different processes and considerations such as the allocation of resources, the setting of plans, formulating long term as well as short term strategies, and defining organizational goals and milestones (Cater & Pucko, 2010, p. 210). For the strategy plan, it is common for business planners to determine the path that the organization is headed towards in the next three to five years.

Furthermore, the strategy implementation is a manner in which the organization should develop, utilize and mold there structure, culture and control system to achieve the competitive advantage and a better performance (Walker, et.al, 2007, p.18). Hence, the strategy plan should be effective and consider every alternative because it influences the implementation of the strategy and so the desired objectives. Simultaneously, the organization's business processes can be strengthen and more productive if authorities evaluate and make necessary changes in the business strategy according to the requirement (Cater & Pucko, 2010, p. 214).

Discussion

The strategic management process is an ongoing complex process in which the organizations have to critically evaluate the need, alternative, particular strategy, strategic planning, implementation and continual evaluation (Lawson, 2012, p. 24). Thus, there should be the translation of the strategic thoughts in the strategic actions. To hedge the potential risks in the environment, every participant in the strategy implementation is responsible and have certain roles and duties depending on the organization's culture and structure (www.acornlive.com).

Roles and Responsibilities for Strategy Implementation

Strategy implementation is the most crucial stage and the individuals who implement this strategy have to manage the forces during it. Therefore, irrespective of the organization strategic implementation requires special motivation and leadership skills of the person who manages it (Rosmalen, 2010, p.15). Furthermore, it is the combination of individuals and their management skills. However, strategy implementation varies according to the size and type of organization. Implementing strategy requires a different set of actions as adding new department, franchising, reforming the sales criteria and marketing division, new product, training new employees, changing the management, building a better information system, cutting cost, hiring new employees or opening a new division (Walker, et.al, 2007, p.20).
