Abstract

This is a strategic report for the Apple incorporation which seeks to address the present strategic position of the company and future steps of success. The company is already finding much more juice outside U.S. market of cell phones since the markets of developed countries are much saturated. Pakistan is a market which is not been targeted by Apple yet, while the companies like Nokia, HTC and also one of the world's largest electronic equipment sellers, Samsung are quick in exploiting the gains of high end segment from this market. The country is having political disturbance, but despite that the country is hosting a number of MNCs which are enjoying a handsome growth. Apple will have to develop an advertising strategy that can match the innovative advertising themes of Nokia and Samsung.

Background

Apple Incorporation develops, designs and markets personal computers (Hardware & Software), music players, smart phones, and sells music online. The revenues of company were recorded $108,249 during the FY2011 (Michaels, 2011: n.d.). Apple is growing at a very rapid pace and is announced recently as the 4th ranked in the list of fastest growing companies in U.S.A in the last five years (FORTUNE 500 2012: n.d.). Apple also managed to grow in times of global financial crisis. However, there are some changes that can affect the growth of Apple if it does not expand globally. The co-founder and CEO, Steve Jobs is no longer there to work on “Next Big thing”. The company is already finding much more juice outside U.S. market of cell phones since the markets of developed countries are saturated. New arenas of competition are in Asia like India and Pakistan. The India is already targeted by Apple; however the company is facing difficulties due to different needs of market as compared to European ones. However, the company is likely to settle after some time. Pakistan is a market which is not been targeted by Apple yet, while the companies like Nokia, HTC and also one of the world's largest electronic equipment sellers, Samsung are quick in exploiting the gains of high end segment from this market. Pakistani economy has shown its robust growth even during the growth of financial crunch.
