Executive Summary

Marketing plays an important role in health care organizations as they are well aware of branding their products and services. There are many products and services used in marketing which are necessary to be determined as they assist in effective marketing. Health care organizations need to develop effective goals and objectives which must be achievable and measureable.

The SWOT analysis is an important part of the health care organizations as it helps in analyzing internal and external environment. It I is also necessary to conduct environmental analysis which include macro and micro analysis. There is a need to control and monitor the marketing activities as many health care organizations have scarce control procedures. The health care marketing department should monitor the marketing activities and use strategic control instruments to monitor those activities.

This paper would be based on providing the strategic planning and marketing in health care. The paper would be based on the analyzing the marketing environment and goals of health care organizations. The paper would also discuss the strategies and goals of health care and how these goals can be achieved. The paper would also discuss the financial goals and provide the marketing mix and implement control.

Market Analysis Organization and Products/Services Overview

Marketing is considered to play an important role in health care organizations. These organizations are well aware of branding their products and services. In addition, other nursing home, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing organizations didn't thought about marketing until 1970s. At present, great deal of marketing takes place in health care organizations. Every hospital place adds in newspapers about their services and facilities and some CEO of health care organizations also interview in television for building their brand. Managed care organizations also develop insurance products and use marketing tools to promote their employees and employers. Heath care marketers are relying on marketing tools and concepts (Kotler, Keller, 2006).

Marketing is considered as activity, set of institutions and is as a process for communicating, creating, exchanging and delivering offerings which provide value for clients, partners, society and customers at large. There are many product and services which health care organizations provide. Some of the services include long-term care, self-care, assisted living, home care, health and social care services and treatment for substance use disorders. The products in health care include the tools and devices used in treating a patient. These vary from different body devices and tools used to cure a patient (Scalise, 2003).
