Introduction

There is a huge difference between being a leader (which require modern organizations) and a simple head, which is limited to meet higher guidelines and seek to do the required employees (Alvesson , 2003). The leader is someone who is respected, admired and followed by his staff. He builds the best conditions for the company going forward, always giving the example, charting and implementing projects from beginning to end. So, true leadership is so requested in the modern business world. Consider, then, what distinguishes the leader. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate personal strengths and weakness being a strategic leader (Kotter, 2007).

Strengths

My strength as a leader is the ability to adapt to change. At the last job as manager of client services, I was able to improve the working environment and to build a strong team. As for my flaws, I believe that my management skills could be stronger, but I'm constantly working to improve them. "

I have Emotional stability I have the ability tolerate the frustrations and tensions. In short, I am suitable and have the emotional maturity to negotiate all that is necessary.

I have the ability to communicate in two ways. I am good at clearly express my ideas and instructions, and I can make people to hear and understand them. I also that being a good communicator I have to listen first. I have won many best presentation awards in my college.

I also have the ability to establish goals and objectives which is an important aspect of strategic planning in my last job as a manager I have been establishing objectives and goals for my team working on a media project. It was a successful project because I know where to take the project, also I had clear, and consistent goal with group capabilities.

I remain always ready to learn new things, show interest in helping in other areas of the company, and try to get feedback from the activities I do daily in order to improve every day.

As a leader, I emphasize on being respectful to myself, employees and the organization as a whole. I strongly believe that, leadership and respect go hand in hand, and you cannot have one or the other.
