The distribution shows that how internet is being utilized by the world and which area of the world is utilizing the internet facilities the most. Asia is the largest consumer of the internet utilities as depicted by the figure. According to a recent survey, up to March, 2012 around 2280 million users are using internet which makes a percentage of around 32.7% of word's population. The internet is impacting immensely the global growth. Around 21% of GDP is now being related to internet among the developed countries within last five years. The most amazing thing is that this economic value is not being created only in the field of technology but almost all the companies that are considered to be really traditional are taking benefits from the internet usage. Internet is also creating jobs worldwide.

Estimates regarding the internet users globally go beyond the figure of two billion users. The growth of internet usage globally is continuing to move at a fast pace. Africa, Middle East and Asia are the regions where the internet usage is growing faster (www.internetworldstats.com).

The above figure depicts that North America is the most penetrated region of the world regarding the internet usage. Another important factor to note is that even though Asia is occupying the major chunk of internet usage, it is still in the phase to get its penetration levels upwards.

The figure below also depicts the situation of internet users per hundred inhabitants. The growth rate of internet users around the world can be easily seen and analyze through this figure (www.internetworldstats.com).
