Strategic Administration of Human Resources, Knowledge and Change

Introduction

ABC Systems has been identified as a company operating in the IT industry. The firm is still within its initial growth stages, and the market it works in is currently expanding. The company is also growing, with an additional base established recently in a country which is part of the European Union.

The existing Human Resource Policies have a reactive approach towards issues and problems, rather than a proactive one. Expansion requires the immediate resolution of these issues as they are affecting performance.

This report has been compiled to be presented to the CEO of the firm. The above mentioned issues are analyzed and evaluated and recommendations have been made for formulating an effective performance and reward strategy.

Applicable laws

Legislation applies on a number of Human Resource Activities, ranging from recruitment laws to maintenance of employees' personal records, as well as antidiscrimination etc.

Appropriate Organisational Structure and Processes

Given the above mentioned characteristics of the business's external environment, the best suited structure in my view would be the matrix Structure, because it groups by both product and function, and also the nature of work requires the application of both of these methods of assortment. This type of structure would be most suited due to the fact that there is a high degree of customization within the IT ...
