Introduction
Strategic Analysis is interpreted as the progression to conduct research on the environment in which any business tends to operate. The research also stretches itself to the organization and allows the organization to further dig into itself. This is done primarily to craft a strategy upon which the foundation can be laid in order to turn a business into a success. Strategic analysis allows the organization to identify the influencing factors within the environment of its operation. The environment can be both internal and external in nature along with the key players. Strategic Analysis is done primarily to increase the efficient and the effectiveness of the organization by identifying the key issues and addressing them (Andrea, 2011).
The issues when stands to be identified allow the organization to allocate the resources appropriately and in a way which will increase its productivity. Strategic analysis not only allows the productivity to be increased, but it also allows the organization to widen the scale of profit maximization. Different experts tend to have a different definition attached to the strategic analysis although the ascriptions attached to strategic analysis tends to remain the same irrespective of the definition. Those ascriptions tend to stand the ground of identifying and evaluating the date in relation to the strategy and its appropriate formation (Wood & Hoban, 1993). It also caters to the varying internal and external factors which needs to be analyzed and thus acts as its ascriptions.
However, there are different analytical factor which tends to serve the purpose. Thus, in the context of this paper we intend to identify and evaluate the tools for strategic analysis and how they tend to serve the business operations and functions.

SWOT Analysis
It is the tool used to help an organization gauge its strengths, weaknesses and identify the opportunities presented to them along with the threats posed to them. However, the fact must be kept in mind that the SWOT Analysis can only help the organization help achieve its objectives. Though the right to act upon them rests with the organization. Strengths and weaknesses are usually internal and thus are in control of the organization. Whereas, opportunities and threats, are beyond the control of the organization. The strengths allow the organization identify its Unique selling point in the sector it tends to excel in. Along, with the perception of your competitors regarding your ability as an organization.
