Introduction

An alliance is a bond of two or more associations who share a mutual benefit among themselves. They have an affinity in qualities and interest although keeping their unique identity and control aside they make a joint venture between them. Strategically it is an agreement between two firms who agree upon a set of objectives mutually decided among them. Remaining as separate identities and providing benefits to all of the parties in the supply chain (Das, K. T., 2010).
