The highest Homicide rates were found in the year 1997 in Alabama i.e. 10.29 which is significantly higher than the rates of other US states in any either years 1997 and 2008. For the Canadian provinces, the highest homicide rates were in Manitoba in the year i.e. 4.47 which is again significantly higher as no province has even ratio close to this rate.
