Abstract

In this study, we try to explore the concept of “Special Education” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “Benefits of Inclusion Regarding Special Education” and its benefits depending on the age and disability. The research also analyzes many aspects regarding special education and tries to gauge its effect on different benefits depending on the age and disability. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for “Special Education” and tries to describe the overall effect benefits of inclusion regarding special education.

Introduction

Inclusion is not defined in any federal legislature; as a result, the definition of inclusion has varied through several educational reform movements. School systems have defined inclusion according to the beliefs and philosophies of the districts. (Blakemore, 2005, pp. 135) Dissent among parents and advocacy groups regarding inclusive practices is common. This entry provides a brief history of inclusive practices and the continued differing opinions as to the effectiveness of including students with special needs in the general education setting (Nutbrown and Clough 2006, pp: 45-65).

One of the important problems of education in a society with a complex stratification structure is its accessibility to a range of social groups with unfavorable starting conditions. Among them, special place is occupied by children with disabilities. Inclusive education implies that the diversity of needs of students with disabilities must meet a continuum of services, including educational environment that are most favorable for them. This principle means that all children must be, from the very beginning, included in the educational and social life of the neighborhood school. However, in inclusive schools, all children including those with disabilities are provided the support that allows them to succeed, to feel safe etc. (Jones, 2004, pp. 452)

Benefits of Inclusive Education

In recent decades, the school is a living reflection of society, has undergone major changes, among others, and has become a multicultural school. Since human rights are universal, the ethnic minorities should enjoy them all in the same terms as the other members of society, without discrimination of any kind. In addition, minority individuals are also entitled to promote and implement freely their cultural and religious practices, and how to maintain your language. For this reason it is imperative that the school adopts an educational perspective that recognizes the values ??of the minorities that aims to integrate and respect the right of them to safeguard their own identity.
