Prevalence of Childhood Asthma

The research has shown that there are about 5.4 million people being treated in UK to cope with asthma problems out of which 1.1 million are children and 4.3 million are adults. As per records, asthma has caused 1131 deaths in UK in 2009 out of which 12 deaths occurred amongst children aging from 14 years and below. As per various surveys related to asthma, 42% reported social issues due to asthma allergies, and 61% reported problem in sleeping due to asthma.
