This paper attempts to discuss the impact of social media on the entertainment sector. The paper highlights the impact of social media networking on photography industry, film making and movies, and also the concept of artwork. Social media networking has become so influential thatit has virtually evolved into a pair of spectacles through which people look at the world. Thus, this paper attempts to cover the way social media networking has impacted various entertainment areas primarily focusing on arts, movies and photography (Urban, Sultan & Qualls, 2009, pp. 21 - 41) .

Social media networking is a platform that has revolutionized the way people communicate and interact. Social media forums have made the flow of information possible in an efficient manner and the fact that information flow is “instant” cannot be denied. The impact of social media marketing on the photography industry, arts as well as the filming industry is immense. Considering that photography, filming and arts are somewhat closely related to the people daily life today, social media networking is bound to impact them in one way or the other. The impact of social media networking on photography, filming and arts is discussed in the paragraphs to come (Zaltman, 2003, pp 39 - 47).
