Introduction

Smart phones have taken over the market and have been in the possession of many people for quite some time. Giant cell phone markets and media conglomerates have now launched many of their cellphones in the market and are vigorously competing with each other to earn the biggest share in the cellphone market. In addition, many people have now considered cellphones as an essential part of their lives due to the various applications that smart phones contain. For example, customers can now appreciate the many applications such as the ones that allow them to check their emails, GPS devices, facebook, Youtube, and many other websites.

Smart phones also contain applications that allow their cellphone users to save many documents and memos, and also play many video games on their smart phones. The history of all these applications and touch screen devices came in the last few years when the same technology used for the enhancement of laptop performance was used in cellphones. The idea came from the eMuCo project when they announced that cellphones can have the same technology came as laptops (The futurist, 2009). This technology is called the multi-core processing unit, which is used in laptops and consists of two cores or more that assist in the calculation process of data.

This has popularized cellphones among the general population and brought many giant corporations in fierce competition among each other (The futurist, 2009). With the multi-core processor being included in smart phones, many cellphones users have been to listen to their preferred music on their cellphones and also to access the internet at their convenience and wherever they desire (The futurist, 2009). The other notable feature is that the multi-core processor allowed customers and cellphone users to download and include as many applications

as they desire while also using little battery power (The futurist, 2009). Therefore, multi-core processing unit has allowed customers and cellphone users to call their friends and family members while checking the latest news and latest applications (The futurist, 2009).

Literature Review

Cellphones have been in the market in the past few years and have been attracting many cellphone users who love their applications and data packages. However, the market price for these cellphones and their applications has been in the rise since their launch in the market. Many cellphone users pay at least 80 dollars in order to access the most popular features, called 3G (third generation) services of cellphones (science and technology, 2012). These cellphone services (3 G) have enabled cellphone users to use many features, which are not included in ordinary phones, such as “Surfing the Web, reading E-mail, and swapping instant messages” (science and technology, 2012). Another benefit of having smart phones is that they brought peace of mind to many families around the world by enabling them to track and locate their loved ones with having to make numerous phone calls (science and technology, 2012).
