Introduction

The main purpose of this paper is to make an analysis that why 52% of Bronx single mothers are living in poverty compared to Manhattan single mothers. This paper also makes an analysis on the type of abstinence that can be implemented from this type of problem occurring. It is observed that almost a huge number of single mothers are living in poverty, and they are unable to give proper food and shelter to their children and provide them a good standard of living. The case is opposite in case of single mothers in Manhattan, they are comparatively not much poor, and the standard of living of their children is much higher than those of Bronx.

Discussion

Although New York City as a whole experienced a recession much better than the rest of the U.S.; however, in the city of the poor is growing most rapidly in comparison with other regions of the United States.
