In biological psychology, much study has been finished using non-human animals as check subjects. This is because the methods engaged would be apparently unethical to use on humans, such as decimation of part of the cortex, deprivation of rudimentary physiological desires etc. However, does performing those unethical methods on animals make them ethical?
