Bartolomé de Las Casas (1484-1576) was born in Seville, and he decided to go on a mission at the age of eighteen. He first left Spain for the New World where he had the participation in the migration of Cuba. The dangerous acts of the Spanish conquistadores gave him a shock that brought the conversation and entry into the Dominican order.
