Such false impressions would be unsafe for the people who lack the maturity to deal with it.

Since shows on violence and sex carry high ratings, a larger demand is there for them. For this reason, the writers are not bringing up any innovative ideas and broadcasters are televising such programs. Even the family shows where no such things are required, instances of brutality and sex are incorporated to enhance ratings. Due to all these reasons, those viewers are ignored who tend to seek for pure entertainment having no link with sex and violence (Kunkel, D., Biely, E., Eyal, K., Cope-Farrar, K., Donnerstein, E., & Fandrich, R. 2003).

Broadcasting of sex and violence oriented programs are causing severe effects on the society. Children and adults are turning aggressive and start indulging in activities which go against the ethics and morality of the society. These shows must be restricted from airing on television.

A rapid glimpse at the television will depict the fallen standard of it. Almost every show has references of pre-marital l and extra marital sex, homosexuality, brutality, slurs and youth engaging in sexual activity. The entire concept behind the advertisement made on television and corporations spending millions on TV transmission is exclusively to make an influence on the viewers. Such broadcasts affect not only children but adults also.

A latest finding suggests that the meaning of different rating guide lines for TV shows are not understood by many people. The people who can play as a role model on television are required in this situation. Television contains a whole lot of imitated people who by no means seem or act in such a way like the public watching it. According to a latest study, increasing rate of pre adolescent sex is the result of an early exposure to it through television (Strasburger, V. 2005).

Television has been the major type of public media for a long span of time. However, during the last few years, it has not been condemned adequate for the actual issues. It has been seen that Television has not a positive impact on the matters related to sex and violence.
